The prayer and healing in our office really takes us back to the stories that are recounted about Jesus and God in both the New and the Old Testament respectively where there was a prayer to God and it resulted in significant healing of the person. We are now aware through the processes of quantum physics, (that we are just now understanding) can be attributed to be the systems that Jesus relied on and that God used to bring about healing that is noted in scripture. There are numerous approaches now in prayer that lead to significant emotional or physical healing of the person. These can be rapid or they can be slowly progressive but, nonetheless healing.
As human beings we are not really comfortable or confident about our skills to access God’s healing power and therefore we tend to go the quick and easy route of surgery and medication. Certainly surgery and medication are the appropriate treatments in certain instances. In general prayer can work for healing in any kind of circumstance. Matthew 10:8a is “heal the sick” … is our guide in this and our intention is to bring about healing as quickly and as effectively as we can utilizing all of the options that God has given us (medication, surgery, supplements, and healing prayer) so that every patient has the ability to obtain rapid and complete healing.
We always ask if the patient would like to have prayer and healing and, if they choose not to, that is just fine. On the other hand sometimes when we are very busy we forget to mention it. So if you would like us to pray for your healing when you are in the office please just ask us. Dr. Moore, Dr. Beim and Dr. Edwards are all ordained ministers in the Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Pastoral Medical Association. We have all taken extra coursework to become confident and competent in prayer for healing and feel that is a very valuable part of our ministry and our mission as doctors.
